There is a foolishness in our human condition. I have written seven novels dealing with the frailty of the human race, the decisions we make, the desperation of our unfulfilled lives. My new novel, The Mermaid Latitudes, deals with this in the subplot of the book. We all come from somewhere and we're all trying to get somewhere else, to find satisfaction with who or what we are. For those few who find success, how often is it linked to the unsatisfied dreams of childhood, where clear markers about our human design are often defined should we choose to pay attention?
